ausfire
My son has just installed a great fire 'pit'. It is a huge stainless steel pump housing, which required a crane to lift it. . A blower stuck down the outlet flange creates a vortex of flame that is spectacular. Anyway, I believe that a fire pit that good deserved a matching fire set, so I found another pump housing in the scrap and used it for the base of a four piece fire set … poker. rake, toast fork, shovel. He doesn't like fancy stuff much, so it's just industrial looking twisted rebar.

I do have a pic of the first burn but it's on my phone. I'll see if I can get it onto here.

ausfire
The first fire in the fire pit. Angling the blower a bit swirls the embers nicely. Little grandson keeping a safe distance! And this thing would work well as a forge!
