No worries. Track clips are good steel; I've even figured out a way to put the unusual shape of the FAIR anchor to good use:

Good idea. I'm going to make a hardy holder out of some square tubing and a stump. Now I know what to make an easy set of fullers from. 

Perhaps he thought you didn't know what you were talking about.  Pandrol clips are not nearly as common here in the USA as in many other countries.
