December 17, 20187 yr Hi , New to world of the anvil , just pickup a 123lb Wilkinson queens Dudley to add to my tool inventory , I am looking for any info on the 6 stamped into the base below the horn , thought it might help age it.
December 17, 20187 yr Probably the inspector's mark or the team that forged it's mark. Not date correlated.

December 17, 20187 yr That's odd, my Wilkinson has a big "W" stamped into it in the same place yours has the "6".
December 17, 20187 yr Author I'm in NS Canada , I figure it to be around mid to late 1800 , just curious on the age.
December 18, 20187 yr What's odd about a factory having more than one Inspector or manufacturing team?I work in a factory and each line has a different inspector and for each shift too.
