wound up getting this from a metal supply shop in the city. 40 pounds mild carbon steel 

I'll build a stand for it tomorrow

almost bought a bigger peice of metal at 121 pounds but my ratchet strap wasent rated that high. I might still go get it next week. it's not a scrap yard but the end cuts and stuff is available to the public at for steel 85 cents a pound witch ain't horible 

They certainly know how to put a bike together.

I had a 750 Aero, still have a VLX600 (unfinished project), and my main bike these days (and for the foreseeable future) is a VTX1800S

I really want to get a vtx1800. I'd be happy finding a motor and trans tho custom soft tail frame with a springer front. would make a great highway mile eater
