April 14, 20188 yr I think the horses are getting to you, lol. They do teach us to live in the moment. Not concern for the past nor fear of the future.
April 14, 20188 yr Frosty, where did you find the Fiskars at? I haven’t had a chance to go look around yet so it would be nice to not waste gas and time running all over the place!
April 14, 20188 yr AIH in Wasilla has 4 lb Fiskars Clubs in the hammer section. I need a 3 lb. version. Amazon carries them for about $10 less and prime is free shipping. AIH also had some of the two hand sledge versions. AIH carries products corporate decides they should so I imagine every AIH in Alaska has four 4 lb. Fiskars Clubs. Frosty The Lucky.
May 3, 20188 yr Did you find time to trim down and cleanup the 4 pounder in the last couple weeks Frosty? Would love to see what you ended up with if you have.
May 3, 20188 yr No, I was going to order the 3 lb. hammer and lighten it to 2 lb. but I had to make a reality check. The arthritis in my thumbs is making any kind of hammering hard and painful for hours. I'm rehandling a couple hammers a 2 lb. and a 3 lb. to see if my slab handles made a difference. Just holding a paperback open can hurt. Frosty The Lucky.
July 6, 20188 yr I have both a three and four pounder. They are great for moving hot metal. I grab one of my regular cross peins when using a chisel or punch because the face of the fiskars are a little softer.
August 26, 20187 yr Fiskars calls this model a "chisel hammer" (talttavasara) in Finland. Just pointing this out if the non English speaking crowd have trouble finding the hammer. It might have a completely different name in your language!
