paradox1559
This is a Byzantine Chainmail weave, made from 1/2" spring steel. The rings are 6" in diameter. I'm not sure what to do with it yet, anyone wanna throw an idea at me? I will probably need more pictures.
C-1ToolSteel
I could use that on TubalCain2!

Kenny O
I have seen them used as downspouts under, a gutter it's a nice effect watching the water follow It to the Ground
paradox1559
Yah, I had it hanging from the gutter, but it tore it off the wall. I love rain chains and copper tubing would be best
C-1ToolSteel
Sorry for the misunderstanding Tc2. Of course I meant to make some armor for you.
paradox1559
I did chainmail long before I picked up a hammer. Armor is no trouble In kinda a chainmail nerd

paradox1559
I don't have many pictures left but here's some of the various little things here and there.
ThomasPowers
I finished off my maille shirt , 1/4" ID back in 1981 when I was baby sitting oil well drilling; had an amusing experience wearing it while hiking and getting caught in a barbwire fence---that was electrified!
paradox1559
Ooo yah electricity is never fun, especially when its evenly distributed over your torso. I love wearing chainmail though, its got a calming property to it. I used to wear a vest when I worked in a gas station, in case someone tried to stab me (again) That book bag on the bottom is actually all that is left of it
ThomasPowers
They were using a powerful fence charger being way out in the country. Usually if you are climbing through a fence and get caught on a barb you can make it on through with a loss of some shirt/blood/skin but the maille shirt I had to unhook all the barbs one by one while dancing the tarantella . Longest I ever wore it straight was 3 days; I had trouble sleeping in it.
paradox1559
Lol I would have cut my losses and wiggled out its easier just to turn the fence off. I've tangled with them before
C-1ToolSteel
Impressive! What kind of pocket watch is that?
Jakesshop
I did maile for around 20 years at Ren Faires. Made a bunch of coifs in 16 gauge stainless,, they looked pretty cool!! Only made one hauberk, it took me a year to do that. And lo and behold I don't have one picture of them!!

It was actually an old women's invicta wrist watch. It was in pretty bad shape, so, it became a pendant, since it had 22 jewels
