Sam Salvati Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Here is a "desk crow" i made for my sister for Christmas, finally got her to take some pictures:D. Forged from 1/2 inch thick 1 1/2 inch wide, the legs were forged from 1/2 inch round, and the claws/feet were forged seperately from 1/4 round, and all mig welded together. Used my treadle and a little chisel i made from H13 (great stuff) to chisel in all the details, all done while hot. She stands about 4 or 5 inches tall, and is about 8 or 9 inches long. My sister calls it a "desk crow" because she sits her on her computer desk:D. Quote

tzonoqua Posted January 13, 2008 Posted January 13, 2008 Love it! Does the tail fan out or is it more of a silouette? Its a bit hard to tell from the photo. Quote
Sam Salvati Posted January 13, 2008 Author Posted January 13, 2008 The Tail fans out, so it is semi 3 dimensional. Quote

Sam Salvati Posted January 15, 2008 Author Posted January 15, 2008 Thanks Andre! It sure makes tooling like chiseling and stuff VERY VERY accurate and easy. Goes much quicker too without loss of quality, IMO a sign of a good tool. Quote
