Icguy
I hope I am not being a pest but I think my second attempt turned out much better.
Dave51B
Nice job Icguy...Nice wood grain texture. Did you make a texturing hammer for that? Also nice finish. You may want to play with the cut ratios abit more. Maybe shorten the top cut and cut off the bottom to match the depth of the top cut. This will give you more of a ( t ) than a ( +) . Just my personal preference..... Looks to me like you have the cut overlap about right for the size of material. Carry on..... ausfire
I like that. You must have been careful with the cuts to get a nicely symmetrical diamond. Very pleasing texture.
Icguy
I took an old hammer head and made a texture tool for the hardy hole Dave. And thanks for the tips!
Frosty
Getting better, well done. I made a wood grain texturing tool by heating and beating an old ball pein face on my hardy. I set the cuts in the tool cross ways to the handle as it's easier to see where you're striking. Keep at it we LOVE pics so you're a lovable pest. IF you can earn pest status that is. Icguy
Thanks Aus. I just used a blade width of the hack saw as a guide for the diamond.
JHCC
Misread the title of this thread as "split second cross" and thought, "Man, that guy is FAST!"
