January 3, 201610 yr Mother in law was in Princess Auto with my wife looking at anvils for the wire jewelry that she's been making. She figured all the anvils there where to big and ugly for what she wanted and my wife talked her into getting me to come up with something. Has a piece of track from the Great Northern Railway that use to run through the area nearby. Chopped off 6" and went to town with the grinder. Was thinking of forging a small stake anvil, but this gives her a few more options and if she finds she wants something different well guess I have to go make some heat.
January 3, 201610 yr Man I LOVE these things. We all owe you a serious vote of thanks for opening our eyes Charles. Frosty The Lucky.
January 3, 201610 yr Author True enough Charles, I'll Let her play with it for a while and modify what she needs when she figures it out.
January 3, 201610 yr Isn't the bending forks a PITA to carve out, lol next time I think I will drill and connect the dots, same with the horns.
January 3, 201610 yr Author I'm thinking your right about drilling a few holes first. Had that thought when I was nearly done. The bending fork isn't so bad when you take a sharp carbide burr in the die grinder to it for final dressing.
