September 8, 201510 yr I was just wandering if anyone had an idea of what this 250lb fisher anvil is worth, there is not one single chip or anything on the anvil top.I would consider selling if the price is right im in northern mo. not any forgers round here i know of, i have seen fishers on craigslist here but really rough and chipped and smaller.
September 8, 201510 yr Selling an anvil depends entirely on your location. I assume you are in the USA. In which case you should expect anything from $2-4 per pound. More in some cases. Fisher's are usually pretty popular and one in that condition would sell pretty easily. On the off chance you are in the UK I'd gladly buy it off you for £250-300. Andy
September 9, 201510 yr Here in Alaska what appears to be NOS (new old stock) 250 lb Fisher would be gone very quickly at $4 to $5 /lb. Very dependent upon location but in that condition I think 3 to 4 $/lb would be unreasonable, not too much a buyer could complain about in regards to condition. I would suspect NJAnvilman would be interested in this if you are in the N.E. Part of the country. Please tell me you live in Alaska, fingers crossed!!! Nice Anvil pictures are so distracting that I didn't even notice you said you were in northern MO. SIGH I guess its a good thing I live up here otherwise I would have an anvil addiction problem.
September 9, 201510 yr Yummm, anvil porn for sure. That thing looks almost naked without a couple of edge chips and face scratches. I'd gladly bid on it as well if you were only closer.

September 9, 201510 yr When you come to iforgeiron.com and log on with your username, look in the upper right hand corner of the screen. You'll see a little envelop shaped icon with a red number by it. Click on the envelop, that takes you to your PM's (private messages).

September 29, 201510 yr This anvil is now in the Fisher & Norris Factory Museum. To bring it home, I took a 900 mile detour after Quad States to Missouri. Lots of touring our Interstate Highways, but a good although long drive.
