Damion78
Thought you might find this interesting. Found at my local scrap yard. Chambersberg high frame hammer.
Adair
Oh what a sad sight. It's hard to determine the scale from the photo. Have you any idea how large that hammer is? -Adair
maltesehunter
That is a steam hammer. There is one similar to it at the Brooks, OR engine showgrounds. Is the anvil with it? Jake
njanvilman
If the anvil is available, it looks as if it could be rebuilt and given another life. Hopefully, this machine will not die and become scrap. I would love to just display it even if it doesn't run. Just on the wrong side of the States. Damion78
The anvil is with it, though I didn't realize they went together at the time. Other than the rust it seems in fairly decent condition. There was a lever with a crack in it but the main structure looks good. It is pretty big 10 feet or so tall similar to a 750 pounder I saw online.
caintuckrifle
At the very least you could have a heck of a mailbox stand!
SJS
Probably only 15-20 thousand pounds probably ~2000$ scrap price nice hammer...
VaughnT
It would definitely be fun to save that old girl. If nothing else, the anvil would make a dandy anvil all by itself.
