ANGRYANVIL
i have been working with a local glass artist in the area to build a stand for his glass sculpture. Also took a trip up to my uncles house and he had a pile of coal that has been sitting there for 40 years. took a little work but it gave me a truckload. njanvilman
Interesting work with the iron and glass. Could you give us a scale of how big the pieces are?
DSW
Looks nice. Your work has just begun with that coal. I though the coal I got for free was big at 3/4" to 1 1/2" for the most part. You got bricks! At worst you can lay up a nice wall if nothing else... LOL
ausfire
The stand suits the glasswork very well. I like the finish on the metal. Wax?
Frosty
Very nice job on the stand, very complimentary to the sculpture. Frosty The Lucky.

Borntoolate
That doesn't look like the coal I am used to. Of course I have had one source of coal and none of it is that big. Seems there are a lot of colors to it. Do you have any idea on the quality of it? I don't mean to criticize your free coal... I am just curious. Has your uncle been a bad boy? He got lots of lumps of coal... ;o)
ANGRYANVIL
Interesting work with the iron and glass. Could you give us a scale of how big the pieces are? the glass is about 3 1/2 ft long. The stand is about 1ft long. The stand suits the glasswork very well. I like the finish on the metal. Wax?for the coating I used gun metal blueing with some oil. That doesn't look like the coal I am used to. Of course I have had one source of coal and none of it is that big. I defiantly need to do some cleaning and break it up to be used.
