Prehistoric Sea Creature from the Deep Deep Sea

Featured Replies

This is a project that we have been working on for sometime now !! on & off were talking a long time

Its been a fun project & a strong learning curve for both of us, its not done yet

we still have to mount it on its 4' sea weed base soon I hope lol

The pieces is made totally out of SS plate Hot formed into tube's & Tig welded as needed

the Tig was also used to build up any area's to be grinded to form / shape

like the ridge's on the clam shell

I will post pic's of it when it's done down the road

I am also looking for a prehistoric name for it ?? any Idea's on what to name out there ???

It doesn't say clam shell to me, the striations are going the wrong way. It says strata and "C" to me so I think I'd find a coral or anemone from the Cambrian era to name it for. The rest says coral or anemone very well and represents sea current even better. I really like it.

You done good.

Frosty The Lucky.

I love the life and movement in the piece. could be a windswept tree with a bit of imagination

Birth of a mermaid, my wife thinks it looks like a lady dancing with her hair blowing in the wind.

Awesome work! It looks like an amazing sea creature or coral. Like the graceful curves and the gorgeous finish.
