quick60
I need a replacement spring for a Roper Whitney Shear. I have contacted them but if I can find one cheaper then thats good for me. Photo attached. Thanks!!!!
jeremy k
Why did you not just order it while you had them on the phone and get back up and running - cant be that much. Besides it would be the right length and tension for that machine????? I have a couple that look exactly like the one in the picture. vapremac
Have you tried MSC ,Grainger or Reid supply ?
ThomasPowers
Farm rigging technique would be to use screen door springs and keep adding them in parallel until you get the right "value". If this is a heavily used item that is key to your operations going for the "correct" repair part may be worth it.

Dogsoldat
Any commercial truck places nearby, look for mudflap or cheater springs(top half of a bunk that folds down) in a logging truck. looks very close to a cheater spring.
quick60
I contacted them but the person that handles replacement parts had yet to call me back. In the meantime thought Id ask around here for some ideas. I do have a commercial truck place nearby I will check it out. Thanks for the help!!!!
