Bearded axe experience

Featured Replies

So this is the slightly more finshed version of my first attemp at forge welding anything other than scrap and cable and I'm quite pleased with it although there are some lines where the 1095 went in. I feel like it maybe could've failed to weld in a few spots but it seems alright otherwise. I've learned heaps and still find a few more tools could be useful

Good Job; it does look like some pretty heavy hammer dings in it though; is your hammer's face dressed nicely?

Looks pretty good! Did you split the end for the eye and forge weld it or did you draw it out and wrap it around and forge weld it? I'm half way done my first Damascus bearded axe.
