June 19, 201313 yr Any idea what this thing is for? I'm not even sure it's a tool. The guy that showed me this said the white material looks & feels like wax. It looks old, like a lot of the Iforge members do, so I thought this would be a good place to ask B)
June 19, 201313 yr The white is probably residue, maybe what it's supposed to roll or maybe what kids put through it for fun. It looks like a pasta roller but I don't know of a pleated pasta so maybe it's for pleating fabric or similar. I sincerely doubt it's for steel or serious metal pleating, heavy foil, probably max. Another thought is it's a roll for laminating something, think old style linoleum or maybe fabric being glued to a surface. I don't KNOW anything about it but it LOOKS familiar, I think I've seen one or more than one in the past but it's just a dim maybe memory. Frosty The Lucky.
June 19, 201313 yr Greetings Don, Had to laugh.... I'll put my two cents worth in... Judging by that it fits in your hand... ITS A WALLPAPER REMOVER... Makes it easier to remove wallpaper... That's what I got.. Jim

June 21, 201313 yr knife sharpeners are only a couple inches long. if those sharp edges are above the line of the wood frame, I'd go with the wall paper remover idea.
June 21, 201313 yr If there is any means of attaching gears to the far side, I would guess "pasta maker."
