December 30, 201213 yr I resolve to make no resolutions. Darn, just made one by not making one. Well seriously this is not a resolution but I hope to make enough charcoal to stay blacksmithing when coal becomes scarce or too cost prohibitive.
December 31, 201213 yr I like Day Zero's approach, and do have my own personal goals, one of which is doing some more forging this year.
January 1, 201313 yr My goal is to forge for the enjoyment of it, and to pray hard that I can contiune the craft! Went out to buy steel today and was SHOCKED at the prices!
January 1, 201313 yr first I would like to wish a happier and healthier year than last, to all Masters, journeymen and newbies alike. It is my resolution to finish my shop and bring the new smiths and the seasoned that live in my area together. Perhaps create the best forging of my life I forgot to mention ...I will TRY to be a kinder and gentler less opinionated blacksmith
January 1, 201313 yr I will endeavor to quit smoking, and continue to improve my marksmanship. I will gobble up all knowledge presented to me, and use that knowledge to develop skills that can benefit my family and myself.
January 2, 201313 yr Nope nothing here, I'm with Frosty on this one, I'm just taking life one day at a time. Mark, Ifing I was healthy I could gather several tons of wood just from folks who trim and cut down their trees and place them out at the curbs to go to the land fill, eucalyptus, ash, pine, palo verde, mesquite, citrus, mulberry and many other types of wood. It's a shame it all gets buried away where it does no one any good.
January 2, 201313 yr Remember Bentiron that the wood placed in the landfill will be coal in 254 million years. Something to look forward to.
