Momatt
That is a great knife. I'd love to hear about the steels used and how you forge welded them together.

Thank you, my friend just was looking for a san-mai kiridashi just elemental and well I just did it. Nice work! The weld looks good and the knife flows very sweetly. Hi man! nice to read you like the knife and about the weld a good well is one of the must important things in a san-mai. That is a great knife. I'd love to hear about the steels used and how you forge welded them together. The steel I use was core 5160 and sides 1018; I forge weld it in a gas forge I worked the steel to 1250°C for weld it and later to 800°C If you really want to know how? read here http://www.iforgeiron.com/topic/30757-forge-welding/ That is a good link, I like it and thank you for share it. Alicia Holmes
Very beautiful. I love how smooth and silk like the blade is, and then the neat contrast of the less refined/smooth handle. Totally my style. I dig!
Stormcrow
I love san mai. :) If I ever got into composite blades, that would be the reason why. Beautiful work there.
