Bob Menard
I loved that video. I aspire to be that man. What I noticed first was his shop. I paused a couple of times to closely examine his "stuff" What I noticed second was his wonderful hammer stroke. It was confident and each blow deliberately placed. I have always found a good stroke a pleasure to watch. 70 years of striking clearly shows. Bob Menard

oakwoodironworks
Great video!! From his accent, sounds like he is from Ireland or England. Since I'm in the USA, I wouldn't be able to take him him up on his offer to visit his shop. But that sure would be a great opportunity to visit with a nice gentleman and see a great shop. Hope he has many more years enjoying what he loves to do!
TomN
That mans sentiments seem to mirror my own. I hope I still have the same mind when i'm half his age! As for the accent, for you American types, that is a West Country accent. That is the south west of England. I'd know, as thats where i'm from. Would mind making an appointment to go see him. I bet he got some good stories and advice to pass on. Fair play to the old boy. As we say down Bristol way 'he's done it all right'.
eric sprado
I guess I need to quit sniveling about being too tired at 67 to spend as much time in my shop as I should!! Need to "buck up" as my dad would say and "work tired" An inspiration..
