Bigcity
Over the last weekend I had demonstrated at the Apple Butter festival in Burton,Ohio with the Western Reserve Artisan Blacksmith Association. I had a blast! I got to use the historical forge with a big set of bellows :) (no pics of that sorry :( ). I dont have any pics of what i had made but i do have some of me forging on the outside forge. I kept it simple with s-hooks and other styles of wall, and drive in hooks. then came the RR spike Knives made 4, sold everyone while they were still warm :). I am going to try to demo as much as i can next year i had alot of fun :)

John McPherson
Good job! Bonus points for the safety glasses and roped off zone. Might I suggest a small table or shelf with a few items safe to touch: keeps folks from grabbing hot/sharp/irreplaceable items. (And a few items with price tags & business cards.) Many happy returns! Bigcity
Thank you. We had a tent set up for selling items and a raffle. I didnt think of having a small table to set freshly made items on to show everyone thats a good idea :). I will have to remember that for the next time i demo. Woodsydad
Put out a few extra tools on the table for people to see close up.
Frosty
Fun isn't it? Having items folk can touch and handle is good just keep the valuable stuff out of temptations range. Good on you for the PPE and safe zone for spectators good examples are important. Frosty The Lucky.
ThomasPowers
When I'm make rasptle snakes I usually put a rasp and a finished one out on the railing along with a sample of coal and coke for people to handle. Even with the starting piece right there I still get a lot of "how do you make the skin?"'s
