EWCTool
How do you keep time in the shop? Wrist watch, pocket watch, shop clock?

Glenn
As Thomas said, nature reminds me, I either get hungry, tired, or it gets dark. The wife over rules nature with notice for dinner or phone.
tzonoqua
With my phone set to an alarm to remind me to stop in time to get my daughter from school usually. Or if I'm lucky with an unconstrained day, I bring my dogs to the shop, they remind me when they are getting bored and/or hungry! Or my partner phoning me wondering, just how much longer I was going to be!!! Whatever it is it is never me deciding I must go!!!
Private Entrance
Tired, hungry or dark for me as well. With the heat lately, I start in the afternoon to try and work in the shade. Usually I get about 4-5 hours of work in and I'm done. Hopefully with the cooler weather coming I'll be able to work more often and start earlier and get some endurance built up again. Frank Turley
I have a shop clock with black roman numerals and fancy black hands. Visitors think that I made the those parts of iron, but the entire clock is a $2 item from Good Will.

Frosty
Nature calls, be it my stomach, natural light, a dog, Winter temps, Deb or my arm. I'm retired from the paycheck universe so . . . Frosty The Lucky.
Kevin W
In a gen. discussion kinda way mine is kept much like the above, adding only that when I have that feeling I've wasted enough time I'll usualy give it a just little while longer . " Life is too serious to take so seriously. " - Groucho MarxIn a business way I use a stopwatch for estimating multiples.A digital clock wired with the lights for smallish jobs ( at the end of the day it blinks how many hours I worked). And a calender for big jobs, marked as full days - 1/2 days - and off days.
