If you will be using it for an oil lamp you might make a copper or brass "reflector" that could be mounted with the screw to fasten the sconce to the wall.

Very nice execution, good lines!

Bentiron - thank you very much!

Thomas - This one will be used with the glass as shown with a candle. I hadn't thought of using an oil lamp. Interesting idea. Thanks.
I've been pondering making an oil lamp. Gives me ideas for my next one.......... hmmmmm.......

Allen - Thank you! I found this piece at a garage sale in my neighborhood. Unfortunately they only had one like this. My wife was hoping for a matching pair. I am always on the look out for odd shaped or antique glass to use for items like this.

Mitch, go figure... :D
Whenever I try to describe that type of glass shape I usually get a blank stare.
May I use one of your photos with most of the ironwork cropped out except the glass to illustrate what I'm looking for?

Nice lamp! I recon you would be able to sell quite a few! We are fortunate to have some glassblowers that make our glass for our hurricane lanterns etc.
What did that glass set you back?

Sask Mark - Thank you!

Allen - Feel free to use what you need. No need to crop anything.

Ian - I think it was 25 cents. :D
