Steve K
Great looking knife Rich. I like the bold pattern in the blade. What is the blade makeup and layer? Steve
me miller
Is it of slipjoint or linerlock design? Looks very comfortable and easy to handle.
julian
Rich that is a stunning blade, I'm glad you finally finished it; the damascus does look great, I'll have to see that one next time I see you. :)
Ten Hammers
Mister Hale, gorgeous work. Absolutely gorgeous. Makes any Case or other commercial knife look lame.
chanterman
Absolutely stunning. If you ever get the chance, a blueprint on how you go about putting one of these together would be very enlightening. Thanks for sharing! Mark
Rich Hale
Blade is my damascus 1084 and 15N20....It is a slip joint and a blue print would just not work on a folder, there is a whole lot of steps and some just have to be adjusted as you go. metalmaster1766
that is a beautiful knife, i like the blade pattern a BP would be nice on a folding knife, i guess the best way to learn how its put together is to take one apart, Ron
elfshadow14
Hey I think the knife look really nice.Hey how much harder is making folder than a fixed handle? To me it looks like a art all in it self.
son_of_bluegrass
It is quite a bit more complex than a full tang fixed blade. Mostly it requires more care in fitting and time in general to make a folder. Look for a copy of "The complete book of pocket knife repair" if you're interested in making slipjoint folders. ron
