primtechsmith
Cool idea! Do you have a picture of the back of it? I would like to see that side as well...just curious. Nice work! Peyton
Dan W
I'v seen this once before and always wanted to do one. Either picts of the back or the pieces laid out before assembly would greatly help. Fine work
brianbrazealblacksmith
I like that joint. I'll have to do one so I remember it. There's alot of possibilities with that. Thanks!

billp
Just an idea but I wounder what it would look like with a crucifixion spike like FieryFurnace showed us back on Dec. 05 (page 5) in place of the locking pin, kind of like two messages in one. I have thought of making a wood cross but didn't know how to use the spike along with it but now you have given me and idea on how. I just have to wait for this deep freeze to end so I can get my smity built and get back to work. Great job it really looks good thanks for sharing. Francis Trez Cole
Good point with the spike I used a railroad spike but you could use anything. Here is the finished cross the finish on it is Beeswax, linseed oil, turpintine and stoveblack the customer was blown away. the two rings are forge welded on repersenting marrage. Frosty
Very nice Francis. It's a nice clean cross and the joinery adds an elegance that really makes the whole piece shine. Thanks for sharing, especially the break down pics. I'll be giving one or something similar a try. Frosty
Doug C
I agree with Frosty. The breakdown pics are really great. I will definitely try to use the same technique in some project. Just need to figure out which one.
