j.w.s.
Just wondering if anyone could give some details on can welding. I know Steve did it with his meteorite and since reading his first post, I tried searching for more information on the process. Unfortunately, typing 'can weld' into google doesn't yield the right results. Just wondering if someone has some links to detailed pictures, descriptions or video of the process. Thanks. -J

Glenn
In order to use a search engine, you have to know to call a shoved a spade, a brown paper bag a poke, and the difference between y'all and you'ins. (grin) shoved = shovel

evfreek
Just for kicks, you could try searching for swarfmascus. It is not a real word, but you should find something. It kind of reminds me of trying to make tool steel in a backward environment where scrap iron was plentiful. The Indian University's conclusion was to use a thermite process.
