  2. Finished lighting this morning
  3. Finally finished monorail and moved hammer into shop. Started conduit for electrical/lighting.
  4. Thanks guys. I should have mid-span support done for monorail by Saturday. May put hammer into shop but have to work late all this week. i also have to go back to guys house who sold me hammer to get a few remaining parts for it. Cant wait to get back to forging.
  5. Monorail supports mostly complete with one to be added in middle. Monorail hung. Its getting there.
  6. No I didn't stop on scale. Just focused on getting it home in one piece. I'll measure it up better. But I do know that it will take up about 50 inches of shop space with a 36" base and the counterweight figured in. Any idea how old this hammer is?
  7. Finished the endgrain floor in front of anvil/forge/power hammers. Brushed in sand. 1 more task I can add to the things I don't want to ever do again.
  8. Any idea how old this hammer is?
  9. I like the anvil stand. nice shop.
  10. Thanks that's funny because we had chickens in there for a few years when we first moved there 20 years or so ago
  11. Thanks Flankem. Yes, definitely post pictures
  12. Concrete dry. Started on endgrain floor in front of forge, anvil, power hammer. Unless something blows up at the mill, I will be getting hammer with my boilermaker buddy Saturday
  13. My shop has tried most all of the cordless tools,( with exception of the cheaper brands like Ryobi etc). We have settled on Milwaukee. I am a superintendent of electricians at a steel mill, a harsh climate to say the least, and I have to say these are the absolute best tools Ive worked with. My guys are super rough on things and they hold up fantastic. This includes the angle grinders. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone. They are 18 volt, I use several in my personal shops.
  14. I can save the extra concrete for you. Hehe.
  15. No. 20 feet. Hehe. Just kidding. Yes 20".
  16. Pretty much all set for our tomorrow footing is for both power hammers. 20' deep with rebar plus fiber mix in cement infront of forge framed in for end grain floor which will also but up to anvil put a piece of channel in floor by door with a threaded rod welded on to it and ran it towards wall for a welding station in floor.
  17. I was thinking pinewood derby style from the top of a hill
  18. I think I can get 3 more. If so I'll make a go cart. I got 2 apprentices to lay it on its side. I gave them angle grinders and cutting wheels. Told them I'd be back in an hour to watch them load it in my truck. I told them to cut it into " light" pieces so it would all fit. Hehe.
  19. Hehe. I look at it and see an injury report.
  20. Scrap????? im thinking of taking this home hehe
