  1. Started new rack on side to hold barstock etc. just need a couple of legs tied into the ground
  2. Thanks. Starting on 2nd version to hold up my shop sign. A little bigger and more abstract thumb is roughed in at this point
  3. I drilled from the back at an angle. Ran the wires through the chase like the web look
  4. Thanks. I think they'll be handy to have around. I had to say it
  5. Pics of back. Couldn't get good ones once it was assembled and coated.
  6. Yes. Thanks. Just a concept at this point. I will bring some stuff home from work to shrink wrap the connections. Right now I've just got them insulated with hot glue. I would bond the frame if I am to give as gift /sell etc.
  7. Thanks. Was going for the creepy crypt keeper hand look. Thinking possibilities of use are endless.
  8. Prototype hand lamp. Need to work on fingers. But very fun
  9. Getting there. Exterior paint almost done. Installed light fixture and some brick for a entry I salvaged from mill. Working on light fixtures for other end. Just prototype st this point.
  10. So far. Great. My home made one hits much harder but this one has much better control. I was going to sell the other but have decided to keep it.
  11. Added easier on/off for hammer
  12. Any have an idea of how old this hammer is? Judson, hammer height is just short of 6' tall.
  13. Ahhhhhh.... I can finally start to see the end. Actually did some forging today after I finished the welding table. My help did not show so I ended up rigging the table top in place. Made some grapes for a grape vine shelf for friend. Was interrupted by having to rework motor mount for power hammer as the belts kept jumping. I still have to get stud anchors from work. but it was still a nice day.
  14. Worked on modifying my welding table today along with installing glass missing from windows in preparation for paint. Table will be 48 x 84 x 3/8 thick.
  15. Thanks Jim....looking forward to finishing and getting back to forging.
  16. Frosty.....I'm not sure if I should says thanks or take some acid and see if i see the same thing.......... I'll just say thanks.....
  17. Thanks. Not sure. Really haven't done anything with the new hammer but its response is much better Took 15 minutes to whip out a roughly shaped railroad spike knife To try it out The new one worked well for that though.
  18. Finally some progress. Went to fix grading outside shop and ended up replacing entire sill and made knee wall to fix both sides of shop. Grade had been up against outside wall for better than 20 years. Yikes. Mounted motor for power hammer. Got it up and running. Made new stand for anvil and roughly rearranged shop. Getting there.
  19. I find standing on wood a bit Better on my back as opposed to the concrete. Also I liked the look of it and wanted to try it. I made the blocks 3 1/2 inches thick out of wolmanized 4x6
