  6. Mail call, I just got my new Picard bumping hammer, it’s 1.41 pounds, I tried a pair of their wolf jaw tongs an i really liked them so I looked at a lot of other tools Picard offers and i saw this and thought it’d be fun to try it out with the sleigh bells in the dishing block,

  10. Here’s a few I got settin around, one finished and a couple started on, Ive made a few here an there for other people too there actually kinda handy for a portable kit cause they are so light, they are really durable easy to make, an customize, you can make em to where to legs are solid welded or to where they are detachable,

  12. I’m a little outta date, The last Trenton I bought was six years ago, it was 176 pounds an had crisp edges I gave $300 which was fair then, prices have risen since then, I’d say you would be fair At $3.50 to $4.00 a pound for a Trenton in that condition, if it has good rebound an ring but I don’t know your local goin rates thats based off of here

  14. Jennifer, thanks for explaining that to me, I guess those competitions are way outta my pay grade, im happy if I can forge a somewhat functional copy of something I see on here IFI or YT or in a book, lol sounds like I’d get chewed up an spit out if I ever tried to compete in one of those! Now if they had a competition for findin an fixin rusty junky ol blowers id give ‘em a run for their money!!!

  16. Jennifer, Ive never seen a blacksmith competition in person, are they timed? How do they choose the winner? Do the judges vote on which piece they think is the best? im no expert but your projects look just like the pictures to me, I don’t understand how you didn’t win?
