Do you have that thing fired up? I want to see video. I think there is member here that owns one , maybe he will chime in.

old style 250 pound little giant
I don't think I've ever seen one like that, the guide almost looks shop built. I haven't seen the one piece frame either.

Is that a wrap around guide, or a guard with dovetail guides behind?

New hammer.
No idea how old it is. I think W&W is still in business, but they don't have records from their hammer building days. When you get it off the trailer post more photos and measurements please. There are lot of ways to do a motor mount. Look at Little Giants center clutch models. I've made a motor mount single piece of heavy pipe up the back of a 50lb LG to place the motor directly overhead, made u bolt/straps to clamp the pipe on. You can go of the side of your machine, and if you get creative you might not even have to dill into the frame. On my Bradley I made a motor mount the bolts onto the foundation bolt hole in the base. Not the best photo and a different situation, but this attaches to the two 1"foundation bolts and hold a 5hp motor and jack shaft for the slip belt system.

Guides likely cast iron maybe flip upside down and bolt steel flat bars over the top, that photo is from a smaller hammer 35 or 55lb. That's most of the info I have if I find anything new I'll send it to you. The pulley and fly wheel look a little smaller on your hammer I wounder if yours matches the diameter in the specs. As far as leaf springs hitting harder, I think it might have more to do with the length of the horizontal toggle arms rather than type of spring. Leaf spring hammers look like they have longer toggles.

On the left hand side, I'll see if I can find a photo. Does the hammer say 100lbs on it anywhere? My info shows 90lbs being the largest size one piece that W&W made. The guides seem to be a weak point, I've seen 3 hammers, 2 have had broken guides. If you look at my photo the casting around the bottom of the guides is slightly different.

New hammer.
My info says 4400lbs and 350 bpm. See what the smallest pulley you can get for your shaft size and do the math.

"0" Fairbanks/United hammer
I think the wedges should be above the bottom of the hole and there should be opposing wedges, one on each side of the lower die. Has the anvil settled down, or has the sow block been altered?

I'm up in NE corner of the state, Decorah. What's the die size? Those utilities always look like they have generous dies. Don't be afraid to keep posting specific questions on FB, someone is bound to chime in. Search on IFI shows a handful of Cburg owners, try contacting them directly, most guys are happy to talk shop. Are you installing this in your personal shop? What type of work are you planing on doing with it? I think I have an article from an old Anvils Ring that talks about setting up the linkage on this type of hammer to achieve hard single blows, I can try to find it if you want.

Ajax hammers look very close but are a casting, this looks like it has a plate steel frame. There is a "Power Hammer Forging" group on facebook that is well attended, ask there.

Unknown make of power hammer
Not the same frame but the ram has the same secondary die holder, guides, motor mount, linkage and grooved pulley. The photo is from this post, check out the video, hammer is run very fast. I can't seem to post a link. Search for "hattersley and davidson power hammer"

Unknown make of power hammer
I don't know the make, but might it be a high speed cutlers hammer? It does look like the top of the ram might hit the spring clamp.

Large propane tanks and venturi burners
For those of you with large propane tanks and venturi burners how do you have your regulators and plumbing set up? I have been using 100lb cylinders and use up to 15 psi. I am negotiating for a 500 gallon tank with local suppliers. There seems to be concern about running 15 psi into a building. I have been referred to NFPA code 54 and 58. How do you guys have yours set up? There must be a way to do it. Thanks
