  4. Does anyone know the years that Buffalo Forge started making and ceased making the 612 post drill . I have a copy of an advertisement for it dated 1941, but no solid dates of manufacture .

I picked up a scythe at a the Yungaburra Markets a couple of years ago, I have finally got round to restoring it , on the tang the is a markers mark of a hose and rider with the word SHEFFIELD stamped under it. I have tried looking up Sheffield blade smiths and other tool markers but can not find this touchmark. Can anyone help ?

  17. My 2 Buffalo Forge No. 612 Post Drill Press'. The mounted one I have had to make many of the parts , as I found it as scrap, The other I have just got and will start restoring it next week.

  20. This is my 206 , I can not find any info. about this model. My brother pick this up for me from a swap meet in Brisbane a couple of years ago . I copied the stands legs from photos of other blowers, I had to overhaul it, the gearbox was full of mud and rock hard grease It puts out a good wind, works a treat with in my smithy.,.

    My 4 and 5 inch leg vices and my little Henry Boker bench vice.
  22. My Peter Wright 305 Pounder. It was ordered for the Tilly cane farm late 1900 and arrived at the port of Cairns , Australia , in 1901 . It remanded with the farm until the farm was sold up for residential development . At that point it became MINE ! .
