    Casting the bolster is extremely easy. I just wrap some tape around the handle to form a simple mold and pour in melted pewter. You can also use an index card or a scrap of cardboard from the cheerios box. The pewter will not burn through unless you have overheated it to teh point of destroying the alloy. Finnr

    The blade is four inches long and the over all length is eight and a half inches. The mix is pallet strap and bandsaw blade. The bolster was cast right on the knife using tape as a mold for the molten pewter. It works beautifully. Finnr
  7. This one is a 80 layer twist pattern with pewter bolster cast in place , antler and cherry burl handle. Finnr
