  2. Hiya Sam. Your forge looks really good! Very neat job! :cool: May she heat stock in no time at all:D Do you think coal will stay in the firepot in a zero gravity eviroment?May have to do some fancy dodgework, having all those hot coals drifting around!! What do you use for a blower? Bb

  9. Hi all! Ive finally found an anvil! My friend Wim found this anvil for me, I collected it from him at the Wheels at the Vaal today. It was great fun to see the smiths working around four forges! Wim will probably post pics later. Im very happy to own this anvil- thanks Wim! Anybody know anything about this make? Its a 90 pound with 3/4 hardy, has the name John BP. Stourbridge stamped on one side. On the other side it has letters-0 3 16

  11. Hi all! Ive recently had the oppertunity to work with a huge massey powerhammer and I really liked the time it saved on big projects. Im wondering if anybody has plans to build a power hammer thats easy to fabricate? If you own a powerhammer please post a pic and give some specs. Any info would be appreciated! Thanks Bb

  13. Hi Dennis I burn Anthracite in my forge- only diff to coal, it needs a bit more air, also a bit harder to get burning. Also lot less smoke than coal.I use a bit of charcoal to get it going. Anthracite is good for forging. Bb

  21. Hi. Ok lets see- my workshop is at home, my forge I built myself, I use anthracite for fuel. Dont use a proper anvil at the moment. I use a peice of shaft as an anvil, ill see if i can post a pic. I have some tools- most ive found in shops that sell antiques, pawn shops and auctions.Here is a pic of some of them.My material i mostly get at scrapyards. Bb
