Several of us met this evening at the Marlett Blacksmith shop at the Trails and Rails Museum in Kearney (Every 3rd Thursday of the month is the meetings) There are many of us that are members of both the guild and the PBA. The guild is small, only 5-6 active members, but have seen more and more coming each week. And yes we don't just sit around, we do forge a bit. Tonight I worked on a bracket for my post vise and we discussed pouring the new bearings for a little giant we are restoring.

Hi There; With a lot of help from Junior and Jock I have been able to get into our national site and get most of the info current. That's the easy part ...to keep current you need to get me a little info...such as when and where you are doing something. In addition the membership list would really be great if none of you had changed your provider in the last few years. If you would check your listing and e-mail me any changes that would be great. Also the gallery is a touch stale...we need a few jpg type pictures to enlarge and spruce it up. Send me what you have [email protected] you all know that I work incredibly slow but can whip your rabbit on occassion…

The Omaha group is moving again. Vernon Grashorn's shop just off 149th and Grover is now up and running and has both more space and parking. It's the second build west on the South Side of grover and has a sign Bender Iron. We will probably need to bring a n anvil or two and I think that Ed Olsen wants to try out his new gas forge again. Jr. - I had posted on the non-blacksmithing section and had not heard from you. I have private messaged you a couple of times and I am trying to find out if you are still making hammers. If you have time can you let me know? Thanks -

I know some of us were worried about Clarence as he was not a Fall Conference, I just talked to Betty his wife as she has just gotten home. Clarence and Betty went to Texas in September because Clarences younger brother who lives on the family farm had a stroke. While they were there Betty's brother in law passed away. Clarences brother is now unable to do anything and as he is a bachelor and can't drive, Clarence is staying there and doing some work on the home place and waiting till the first of November for a court date to determine where the brother will be staying.

Bill had me take these pictures Glenn. He wanted you to have proof positive that he does advertise. And he bought the little gourd at the iron in the hat auction cause he thought it reminded him of you after the blueprints are over.
