December 24, 2025Dec 24 So I have rediscovered another forgable bronze alloy circa 1623. Any music fans here. Ever hear of Zildjian cymbals. Copper, tin, and silver! Only five people in the world know the exact ratio. I could probably figure it out in a weekend thru trial and error and comparing the color to a cymbal. Or better yet. The pawn shop i use has an xrf analyzer that could tell me the exact ratio if i was so inclined. Of course I would also have to find a cymbal first. Trade secret you say?
December 24, 2025Dec 24 I wonder how it spins? Isn't an xrf analyzer cheating? It's only a secret till someone figures it out. Frosty The Lucky.

December 24, 2025Dec 24 I know one of the people who knows the formula: I worked with Craigie Zildjian (14th generation of the Zildjian family in the cymbal business) to set up a scholarship fund for percussion majors in our conservatory of music.
