August 15, 200817 yr Hello. Just went to the Gloucester Farmer's Market again! Even more successful! I sold out 4/5ths of my inventory, made a 200 dollar profit, and had several people approach me about used blacksmithing equipment they want hauled away A very successful day! I need to get a website up and running. be merry, Archie Edited August 15, 200817 yr by Archie Zietman
August 15, 200817 yr Good for you. Had to work today so could not come out to Gloucester. Are you displaying at any weekend events this fall?
August 15, 200817 yr Got a camera? Take some pics and post them here! Does this craft fair have a web site? Congrats on the success.
August 15, 200817 yr Author Doug: In a week I'm off to college, so that was my last event for the summer. I'm going to do more next summer, people have asked about weather vanes and farming tools, so I might get into doing that. Kevin: Someone was taking pictures, no idea who they were though. I also mistakenly called it "craft fair" (I edited the post) technically it's a Farmer's Market, but there are a lot of craftsmen there. I don't think it has a website all though if you search "Cape Ann Farmer's Market" you might come up with something.
August 15, 200817 yr I did just that and look what I found... This week at the Cape Ann Farmers Market - Rockport, MACrafts — Present Collective (see below), Archie Zietman (metal sculptures), Camilla Macfadyen (block print T-shirts) and Stephanie Stathe (garden & plant arrangements) Edited August 15, 200817 yr by KevinD
August 15, 200817 yr Yup; be sure to have a business card to hand out when folks say "would you be interested in any old smithing equipment I happen to want to get rid of" as that is one of the perks of demo-ing to the public!
August 15, 200817 yr Good for you, a profit is a precious thing. Getting lines on forge equipment heading to the dumpster is even better. HOWEVER. I am STILL waiting to hear the "Wobbly-Headed Doll Caper!" Frosty
August 15, 200817 yr Just like the story of the Giant Rat of Sumatra; some tales are too horrible to be told!
August 15, 200817 yr HOWEVER. I am STILL waiting to hear the "Wobbly-Headed Doll Caper!" Apparently it's from a TV show called Firefly.Wobbly Headed Doll Caper : Firefly Cargo Bay by earthgirl : CafePress.com
August 16, 200817 yr Sherlock Holmes- great esoteric reference. I have the annotated, but I cannot recall in which story the mystery is mentioned.mike
