Frosty
How heavy a hammer do you think it'll lift? Frosty The Lucky.
Scott NC
Looks pretty shakey to me. I would say 45 lbs.
Frosty
It'd be easy enough to anchor down and 45lbs or more might make a sweet field expedient power hammer. Frosty The Lucky.
Nobody Special
I mean...maybe? I don't have any room to criticize after a few of my contraptions. Now if they can do the reverse, color me amazingly impressed.
Frosty
Never thought of that but . . . convert my 50lb. Little Giant to a riding mower!? Look OUT forest! Frosty The Lucky.
Scott NC
I admire people who build things whether in seriousness or for fun or just to "see if it will work". I built more than my fair share.... I think I've even posted some if my "ideas" on here....
jason0012
I ran my 75# Bradley off an old snapper riding mower for a few days. It worked but had issues. The electric motor was way less hassle
Frosty
What were the issues? Less hassle is always good but is the power and speed comparable? Frosty The Lucky.
jason0012
Vibrated off its stand. It was hard to keep lined up and was quite noisey. It did work for a bit. The electric motor was far more convenient. I didn’t have power enough in the shop to run it. I ran the lawn mower as a power source until I got rewired
Frosty
Bolt it to the stand and the anvil maybe? I don't recall if you have a welder or not. If you do making a sledge hammer trip is pretty straight forward. Frosty The Lucky.
