Phoenix Action Films
So I got ahold of this anvil from my friends at the farm, and they let me borrow it. I dont know what brand it is, I was thinking one of the Fisher varieties. It has some sort of red coat underneath the rust, I dont know if that has to do with anything. It has a big chunk taken out of one of the edges and the step is all beat up, but other than that the rebound is good and has a nice ring to it. I would like some help figuring out the brand name. I forgot to mention it weighs around 100 pounds.
Glenn
The brand name is a *Loaner* brand anvil. Condition varies but the anvils themselves are always welcome.

Irondragon Forge ClayWorks
There may be a logo on the opposite side of your photo or a serial number on the foot under the horn, may be hidden by the paint. Looks like a usable anvil.
Stash
Not a Fisher. Looks kind of Mouseholey, or another older English brand. Looking at how close the pritchel hole is to the rear, I'm wondering if that was user- added at a later time. If that's the case would put the mfg date pre 1830ish. Never the less, is is a well used older English. If any ID or weight stamp still exists, it generally would be on the other side, horn pointing right. ThomasPowers
Check under the pritchel and see if there is any signs of it having been punched---looks to me like it was drilled later too. Also looks to be one of the 200+ known english anvil makers anvils. As Fishers have no ring it can be one of them!
