Recommendations for smiths

Hi hive 

I am a young qualified blacksmith working full time in the uk and would like to get some experience working in the states for a couple months working at a couple different shops, could anyone point me in the right direction of Smiths who have done this before or any idea i.e colleges and such? Who would take a smith on for a project or two or any advice would be great.

The Center for Metal Arts in Johnstown, Pennsylvania has an internship, which might interest you. The internship competition closes January 15th, so don't wait too long to apply.

You could check out bladesmithing at Mass Art in massachusetts.

I can not think of anywhere you could get experience here, but i would like to say that some idea of where in the states you plan on coming to would be helpful.

I'd join ABANA and perhaps put an add in the Anvils Ring. put your skills and  itinerary down and offer free help for room and board.
