July 15, 200817 yr A buddy of mine called and wanted an old time looking pool gate. This is what he got. 1/4 X 1-1/4 Flats. 1/2 Round Stock with Welded finials and a forged latch.
July 15, 200817 yr Very classy. That oughta' keep the neighbor's kids out. Again, very nice work. Don
July 16, 200817 yr Very nice looking gate for the wall but that would never pass the Phoenix, AZ city code for pool fences or gates. Fences must be a minimum of 5' tall, non climbable with bars spaced no more then 4" apart so a child's head can not fit between them. Gates must have self closers on them and a keyed lock, of course they have no appreciation for beauty either.
July 16, 200817 yr :o who makes up these laws?!! i mean safety, ok,... but thats one strickt code man! either way, Jolly nice fence!!!!, did you forge the tips, or are they cast?
July 16, 200817 yr Author Bentiron1946- Things are a bit different out this way. This is a rural/country area. Not really even a town. The spears are 6" centers. Not really any major code/rules here. Johannes- The tips are forged iron. I Bought these from King Metals. When, the big question is "when" I ever build or get that power hammer I will most likely make them. :)
