Somie666
I was told that the gas jet from a fish fryer would work in a propane forge blower. Is it possible?
Steve Sells
I have no idea what you are asking, there are no gas jets in a blower, and neither has anything to do with refractories and supplies, so I will relocate this. If you state your location there may be an IFI member near your location that can assist you.
pnut
I think you mean a venturi burner from a propane fired deep fryer with the end cut off. I've seen it done on the internet. I don't know how well it would work. You would be better off building your own by following a known plan exactly as written. Pnut
Somie666
Not sure what it's called, thought it might work.
G-son
A gas jet of basically any origin can work, as long as it has suitable dimensions. But the jet is just one piece of a burner, getting the rest right is harder than sourcing a jet - the most common choice is contact tips for MIG welders, costs something like a dollar each. Mikey98118
Typical temperatures within a forge are much to high for gas jets to work out well.
