Bentiron1946 Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 The bent pencils and up turned umbrellas are cool. That is a great bit of whimsy. Quote

ThomasPowers Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 Very Nice; did you do all the designwork as well as the execution? This one should show up in the coffee table books on smithing! Quote
Frosty Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 WOW. I like it just as much on this forum as the other one! Go figure. Frosty Quote
matt87 Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 That is some amazing work there Adrian. Not sure if it's to my taste but certainly well designed and executed. Quote
AdrianWood Posted May 16, 2008 Author Posted May 16, 2008 The book bag is based on an old style leather school satchel. It is made from 3mm sheet steel, and made slightly oversized to the original. The strap is made from 30x8mm flat bar fullered down the centre to give it a rounded shape. There were even some buckles that were made from 6mm round and had 30x8 as buckle straps. Quote
tzonoqua Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 It's brilliant Adrian! Totally unique. Must have been a lot of fun to design and make. - Colleen Quote
Johannes Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 heil to you man!, the fantasy put into it.. the craftsmanship... the speldit fencing work.. your one of my new idols :-) must be a greath patron to work for, someone who's openminded enough to let you make something like that.. hope to get some of those to some day...
