reddog1k9
I went to look at the 44 pound Columbian anvil yesterday. Rebound with a 1" ball bearing was outstanding, and created a loud, crisp ring just about everywhere on the face.. I stopped short of buying it until I could pick you guys brains for a moment. Why would the anvil have the classic Inverted triangle with the letter C on one side, and the same triangle with a B on the other side? Set off bells and whistles to hold off buying it until I could confirm that it's the real McCoy. Sorry to pound this issue into the ground guys, I just need advice. ThomasPowers
If the rebound and ring are great it doesn't matter WHO made it!---if you are planning to use it!
Exo313
+1 to what Thomas said! If the price is right don't wait! It'll be gone.

Marc1
Very small anvil. I also have a 25 lb Kohlswa, more for fun than any practical use. I do use it for very small stuff just because I can plunk it on the bench at any time. I suppose you already have a larger one?
forgedinfire123
columbians used letter keys to denote weight......I forgot where I read that.....the c stands for columbian, and the other letters in the triangle are codes for weight
reddog1k9
Excellent! Never gave thought to the idea of letter-grading/designation, as opposed to stamping wieght on it. Thank you!!!
Frozenforge
Have never seen a Columbian with the triangle on both sides. Usually the letter associated with the weight is just on its own opposite the logo. If you get it please post some pictures!
reddog1k9
My error.....the "C" in the triangle is on one side and a Raised letter "B" without triangle on the opposite side.
