Has anyone ever used vermiculite board to line a gas forge? I was wondering if it would work. I have read that it is good up to 2100 degrees. Im not sure if this would work or not.

Typical working temperature in a propane forge is around 2,500f. and up some. The short answer is, no.

Take some time and do some reading in the gas forge section. Forge liners are discussed extensively, the current gas forge thread "Forges 101" is pretty much up to the minute where materials and construction is concerned. "Burners 101" is likewise home built state of the art burners.
