scottyp74
Has anyone ever used vermiculite board to line a gas forge? I was wondering if it would work. I have read that it is good up to 2100 degrees. Im not sure if this would work or not.

Take some time and do some reading in the gas forge section. Forge liners are discussed extensively, the current gas forge thread "Forges 101" is pretty much up to the minute where materials and construction is concerned. "Burners 101" is likewise home built state of the art burners. Frosty The Lucky.
Mikey98118
It wouldn't even be good for a backup outer layer within a secondary layer of ceramic wool, because it is gyroscopic.

ThomasPowers
Hygroscopic? Or does it put a different spin on things! (of a sort of precious precocious precession! ) (That line added 3 words to my new laptops "dictionary"!)
