bruce a hylton Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Hello all. Is there a specific thread on here that would have photos of blacksmith shops past and present. I have done a lot of reading with small results the last few days. I like to have stuff and would like to see if the few things I now have would look better in an original type setting. Not to mention that I just plain like photos. Thank you very much. Bruce Quote
Glenn Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 There are some 6,300 photos in the IForgeIron gallery. There is also a thread "show me your shop" or something to that affect. The IForgeIron Archive may have some information also. Welcome to the site. Quote
ThomasPowers Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 There is a fellow selling blacksmith calendars that have picks of old shops in them. "Cathedral Forge and Waterwheel" has a couple of pictures of medieval blacksmith shops in it Quote

bruce a hylton Posted March 4, 2008 Author Posted March 4, 2008 Thank you all for the answers. Olympia is really close to home. About 40 miles. John, she must be a distance cousin then, although my family came out to Washington in the late 1880's. Again, thank you all. Quote

It took me hours to go through the Europe (continent) blacksmith shops. I'm saving UK shops for later. Bruce, It's well worth the time to visit it.Ian's World Tour - I Forge Iron Quote
