Pault17 Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Tell him they are worthless, take em home and send me one. I get half the dogs too:D Sorry. I actually have no firm idea - others will. At the lowest end, you could offer scrap price. Keith, after seeing where you live. I will drive up and grab one too:D Quote
Glenn Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 Acorn Platens are high tensile strength gray iron sand castings featuring 1 3/4" square holes spaced on 3 1/2" centers. The top surface and side edges are machined to a flatness of 0.005" per linear foot. Quote
mike-hr Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 On the west coast US, $400-1500. It will also cost you a bit to load/unload, and build a heavy duty stand. Worth it in my opinion, I love mine. Quote
proudwhitetrash Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 there ones one for sale at a surplus dealer down the road and they were asking 800 big ones for it Quote
sdalcher Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 They can be kind of pricey, but if not being used, I would offer scrap price and think I got HECK OF A DEAL! Quote
Tyler Murch Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 If he doesn't know anything about them, see if he will take scrap price. Quote
fritzdecat Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Buy them both and then sell me one. I'm in North Carlina about three hours away. Let me know what goes down. Quote
