I have all the ingrediants for making the trad Blacksmith finish consisting of
Beeswax, linseed oil, and turpentine
My question is what purpose does the turpentine serve in theis recipe?
Would leaving it out make any difference?

I never learned how to use a Bridgeport Mill now I can. They will laso have a stout Tig machine capable of doing aluminum and a plasma cutter.The list goes on. We are lucky to have one in NC

When I am not banging and welding I like to fly model airplanes which coincidently use alot of balsa tri stock. Too bad we can't buy ready made steel tri stock...

Maybe a set of dies under the airhammer? Hopefully there is another way
