August 3, 20241 yr I have no doubt you are right on the embelishment for the camera but it was impressive none the less.
August 3, 20241 yr It was great watching, you can't play tunes on the anvil if you aren't good smiths. I didn't mean to dis anybody and don't hold it against anybody for showing off a little for the camera, I have. Frosty The Lucky.
August 3, 20241 yr Great beat and what stamina the striker has, wore me out watching. I can't control the wind, all I can do is adjust my sail’s. Semper Paratus
August 4, 20241 yr No doubt Frosty and Iron dragon. They certainly have stamina and are well on on their strikes and speed. They just might do that often to keep themselves entertained in their work. That isn't something they are new at doing. Looks like a husband and wife operation. I need a wife that can strike like that. Aside from all that it looks like they were making a socketed chisel. Any other ideas?
August 4, 20241 yr I think it's a husband wife or maybe daughter team. She only strikes 53 times before the video repeats so I don't think stamina is a big factor. Sure they're strong and fast but it's not for a very long time I don't think they work that way all the time. I think a socketed chisel is a good bet. Frosty The Lucky.
August 4, 20241 yr If I were to swing that striking hammer 53 times in that short time period, I better have EMS standing by with a defibrillator. I can't control the wind, all I can do is adjust my sail’s. Semper Paratus
August 5, 20241 yr Maybe if we hook the defibrillator up and touch the button every time you slow down? Kidding aside, that's why I own a power hammer. Frosty The Lucky.
August 5, 20241 yr True that but I don't have to feed the power hammer unless it's running. Not as much fun to snuggle though. Frosty The Lucky.
August 5, 20241 yr 18 hours ago, Frosty said: that's why I own a power hammer. Same here and my Star runs at 120- 150 beats per min. full out. I can't control the wind, all I can do is adjust my sail’s. Semper Paratus
September 22, 20241 yr Here is an interesting way of making tongs. Could easily be done with regular flat bar stock as well. I like his silly donkey forging video as well.
