WL smith Posted June 1, 2015 Share Posted June 1, 2015 Met a guy this week looking for a commercial sand caster. He has an antique aircraft part and needs a few castings. The part is cup shaped probably 2 inches in diameter and 2 1/5 inches deep with a 1/4 inch wall. I come from an aircraft background (entire career) and the part is not structural. Frosty Posted June 1, 2015 Share Posted June 1, 2015 I now a couple casters who specialize in bronze, one in Palmer, Alaska not far from me, the other in Woodstock Ct.Either can do the job, whatever it is, reason isn't a factor for one of them. They'd need good mechanical drawings, including specs and lead time, both are scheduled pretty full. Neither is cheap being artists. PM me for their contact info.Frosty The Lucky.
