caintuckrifle
Can anyone help identify this anvil? I don't have many other pictures because it is not in my possession. Also can anyone tell me why the horn looks a bit funny? Thanks. Caintuck
Fatfudd
I saw that anvil on SLC C-list and wondered about it also. Heck of a horn with no cutting table. The seller says he has lots of info about this anvil but you have to call him to get that info. Have you called him?
caintuckrifle
No I have not, the price is a bit steep for me.

ThomasPowers
Anvils had a lot of variations back in the days when they were "assembled" by hand and so easily modified.
Sluicebox
That's a cool looking piece and the providence of it adds to the value. $5 per pound is not too unreasonable for something like that. Though way,way out of my budget. Shipping that wouldn't be too bad if you use the right company. I just received one East Coast to Oregon $125 freight on a 350lb crate. PM me and I will tell you who the freight co was, I'm not trying to advertise, nor am I affiliated. If I were close to that one and could afford it, I'd snatch it and never let it go. Get the history though other wise it's just a neat anvil. My $.02 spend it how you want.
101 H-B
The anvil appears on page 189 in 'Anvils Through the Ages', the book of the late Tim Kris's collection. It was sold on ebay some time ago during the liquidation of that collection. As Thos. P. says.. English, custom. Unique.
